It's been a while since I wrote. I lost my focus. I haven't been able to think about writing. I sit down and stare at a blank screen. I've barely been able to write a page a day, which is unusual for me. I simply forgot the joy of writing. The drive to get my stories on paper and to share them with someone else. I woke up this morning and realized that my life is not complete unless I write. I want to publish novels. I want to make people say "wow" and to want to turn the next page. I want to be the one who takes people away to places far different from their daily lives. I want to write.
Ray Bradbury said, "If you write a hundred stories and they're all bad, that doesn't mean you've failed. You only fail if you stop writing." Failure is not an option. Just keep writing. Don't let that inner editor, or inner critic, or even the nay-sayers in the world, keep you from charging forward. Just write.
In that vain, I've decided to create a writing challenge every few days. Things you can think about to keep you going, to help you dream, to help you write. I'll put each one under a different heading, so keep looking for them. Feel free to post your answers.

In my wildest dreams I never imagined anything like this could happen to me...
